Lamm began with a simple belief: that the act of making should feel connected. Connected to the materials in our hands, to the people who came before us, and to the communities we create through craft.
In a world that moves too quickly, weaving invites us to slow down. It teaches patience, presence, and the quiet satisfaction of building thread by thread. At Lamm, we honour that rhythm. We choose natural fibres, thoughtful processes, and tools that respect the land and the maker alike.
What started as a personal passion for weaving grew into a commitment to support others on their own journeys. We saw the challenges Aotearoa New Zealand weavers face when sourcing high-quality materials and specialised knowledge. So we set out to bridge that gap by curating fibres and equipment that uplift both new weavers and experienced practitioners.
Lamm is a place where knowledge is shared generously and craftsmanship is valued. We collaborate with makers who share our respect for tradition, sustainability, and the slow craft ethos. Every product we offer is handpicked to inspire creativity, deepen skill, and help keep the art of weaving alive for generations to come
Lamm is an independent, owner-operated textile company founded and run by Meg Cameron.
Meg is a textile artist and business owner with a long-standing interest in material integrity, ethical production, and thoughtful design. She is a weaver, quilter, sewer, and knitter, and always has a project on the go.
Lamm is based in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. All design development, material sourcing decisions, and day-to-day operations are managed locally. While Lamm works with carefully selected production and supply partners overseas, the creative direction, quality control, and business decisions remain firmly in New Zealand.
Lamm also collaborates with like-minded artists and businesses throughout Aotearoa to bring weavers considered, well-made, and exciting new products.
In addition, Lamm has strong relationships with New Zealand sheep farmers and is deeply committed to promoting New Zealand wool. We are currently developing partnerships that will soon result in exclusive New Zealand wool yarns for weaving.
Lamm is intentionally small and founder-led, allowing for close attention to quality, relationships, and long-term sustainability.
