Details

Balanced, beautiful, and endlessly practical, Maurice Brassard 2/8 Cottonlin combines the best qualities of cotton and linen into one exceptionally versatile weaving yarn. With the softness and stability of cotton paired with the strength and subtle lustre of linen, cottonlin is a favourite for weavers creating textiles meant to be used, loved, and washed again and again.

This 2/8 weight is ideal for both warp and weft, offering excellent durability without feeling heavy or rigid. Fabrics woven with cottonlin have a gentle structure, a smooth hand, and a clean, modern look that suits everything from everyday household textiles to refined table linens and garments. After finishing, the cloth relaxes and softens while retaining its shape — practical, elegant, and dependable.

We stock the full colour range, making it easy to design with confidence, plan complex palettes, and return to the same hues project after project.

Colour cards (with samples of the real thing) are available here. These cards are a fantastic tool to see the colour in person and for planning projects. Highly recommended by us!
